CATO
CATO takes its name from an 18th century play. The play tells the story of a Roman senator who opposed Julius Caesar, and ultimately committed suicide instead of capitulating to Caesar's overwhelming force. The play was wildly popular amongst colonial Americans, and is the source of many of the most famous lines from the era, including Patrick Henry's "Give me liberty, or give me death."
The sculptures derive their forms from ballistic diagrams of different caliber bullets.
